A parked domain name is one that is taken, but it's not connected to any other service - web or e mail hosting. Essentially, this type of domain won't open any actual content in case you type it inside a web browser, but no one else can take it as you have already registered it and you are its owner. The main advantage of obtaining a domain and parking it afterwards is the fact that you’ll be able to keep it and not stress that someone else might register it in the meantime if, for example, the site for it is not ready yet. You could set a short-term Under Construction page for a parked domain while you're working on the website, or direct it to some other web address - temporarily or permanently. The latter option can be used when you have already registered domain.com, for example, and you acquire domain.net and domain.org, so as to protect a brand name or a trademark. In such a case, the .net and .org domain names can be parked and directed to the .com because you do not need different sites for them.

Parked Domains in Shared Hosting

When you have a Linux shared hosting from us, you are going to be able to park any of your domain names easily. The feature is offered for the domain addresses registered through our company, and not for the ones which are only hosted here and directed from some other company, since a domain address can be parked only through its registrar. Our Domain Manager tool will allow you to select from a variety of templates and you are going to be able to add your own text to any one of them. Redirecting a domain name to a different URL is as easy as just typing the Internet address and saving it. If you would like to host any of your parked domain addresses, it takes just a mouse click to do it and our system is going to do the rest - changing the name servers, creating a domain folder in your account, setting up the necessary DNS records, etc. For simpler administration, you're going to be able to filter the domains registered within the account by their status - parked or hosted.

Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you purchase a semi-dedicated server plan from us, you are going to be able to register and park as many domain addresses as you wish. As opposed to other providers, we will not charge you an additional fee for this feature. You are able to park a domain with only a couple of mouse clicks using the Domain Manager tool, that you can access through the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. If you choose to use a template, you will have a few different ones to pick from and you will be able to add custom text to each of them. The feature-rich Domain Manager enables you to set filters to check out only the hosted or only the parked domain addresses in your account. Using the same instrument, you can also un-park a domain and host it within your account with just a click. Our system will modify the name servers of the domain and will create its folder in the File Manager section, and the required DNS records for it, automatically.
